GET THE LOOK: Too Faced & Maybelline :
I was browsing through TooFaced online because I received an email for 20%, so I
decided to try out some products I have been wanting to try. And can we just appreciate and adore the packaging of this? It is delivered in a pink Too Faced box, and when you open the box, you cannot help but feel girly and excited. I purchased a lip liner (which has had great reviews) and the beauty blogger set of samples, because it is everything I have wanted to try (except the mascara). With the purchase I chose two free samples which were pressed powder and the too face lip injection. From Maybelline, I decided to see what was so great about”The Nudes” palette and the “Brow Drama” Sculpting brow mascara! In this look I have used only products from Too Faced and Maybelline.
I started off applying the “Shadow Insurance Primer” from Too Faced then used “The Nudes” Palette from Maybelline. I love the primer, but the palette was not the quality I expected. These eyeshadows are the type you have to build up in order to get the color you want to achieve. Without primer this eyeshadow would just wear off, but in the end I do like the look I accomplished. the powders are a bit messy and very thin, but taking the time to build the color is worth it for less than $10.
Next I primed my face with “Primed & Poreless” and applied the Tinted Beauty Balm in the color Cream Glow from Too faced. For my cheeks I used “Chocolate Soleil” bronzer, which smells AMAZING and has become my favorite bronzer, and to add color I used “Sweet Pink” for blush, plus “Inner Light” from my Too Faced “Everything Nice” palette (exclusive from Sephora). I added some “Better Than Sex Mascara” then used an angled eyeliner brush to create a dark smokey eye with the darkest color from “The Nudes.” I completed my look by applying “Primed & Poreless” skin smoothing priming powder and brushing through my brows with the sculpting brow mascara, which at first felt really thick but dries nicely, to keep my brows in place. This is an easy to go brow tool that I recommend purchasing and is a great dupe for Benfit’s “Gimmie Brow” tinted brow mascara!
For my lips I used Too Faced’s “Lip Injection’ power pumping lip gloss.. it works! I was shocked at first by the results and the tingle sensation urged me to wipe it off, but the minute or two of tingling is worth it! This creates a pout to your lips, and creates a fuller appearance for up to 4 hours. Since it is a lip gloss, I let it set for a few minutes then applied my lip liner and lipstick. I used Too Faced’s “Perfect Lips” in the color perfect berry, and a lip gloss from Cailyn (only product not from Too Faced & Maybelline), I suggest wearing the Lip Injection alone or after a very matte lipstick.
