What a great palette to introduce me to the amazing Anastasia BH eye shadows. I love the brow products and the contour palette, and this Artist Palette is defiantly a great buy, especially for the price.
“Phresh” (yellow shade), “Orange You Fancy,”Punch Fushia” and “Unicorn” are great summer/spring shades to place a pop of color on the lid or bottom lash line.
There is a great variety in this palette with the 12 shades. A range of light to dramatic looks can be created with shades like “Coal,” “Aubergine,” and “Blue Velvet.” Not only is there a variety of color, but also with matte and shimmers. I think the matte “Dusty Rose” or the shimmery “Orange You Fancy” would be great transitions shades.
The quality of these shadows are amazing. I was shocked on how pigmented they ALL were. One little dip with a brush will go a long way. The swatches were done by the adorable brush it comes with and some finger swatches. By the way, The brush is actually USEFUL. Most brushes seem like they are just there to fill up space in a palette. This dual ended brush is perfect for blending and applying in precise motions.
Or you can order it here on amazon🙂
The palette is $30, which I believe is a great price for the quality and how diverse the palette is.
I created this deep plum look using:
- Buttery: A matte, buildable beige (highlight+Base)
- Blue Velvet: A deep, intense navy (Outer V- Half of lid)
- Dusty Rose: A soft, satiny mauve (Transition Shade)
- Aubergine: A moody, eggplant purple (Outer V)
- Punch Fuschia: A vibrant orchid hue (Bottom Lash Line)
I will be publishing a video (Subscribe to my YouTube!) this weekend on a different makeup look using this palette so stay tuned for that!
