HIT or MISS? Superstay Better Skin Concealer + Corrector

IMG_5650Maybelline has just been on top with new products out in the drugstore. I have heard great talk on this “Better Skin” line. Being a big fan of the Age Rewind and the FitMe concealer, I had to give the new Better Skin Concealer + Corrector a try!

As you can see the packaging and applicator are pretty basic. I personally like applicators like this because I can apply as much as I want, where I want perfectly. The formula is smooth and not too thick. This concealer states it is suppose to target dark circles, spots, imperfections, and improve skin in over 3 weeks. I do not think this concealer or any that I have tried actually work as skin care product. On the other hand I do believe some concealers can harm your skin, but this one is not one them. The formula feels somewhat oily, but it contains “Actyl C” which is oil-free antioxidant benefit.  It also dries nicely, without drying the sensitive under eye area. Problems I have faced in the past are that my concealer dries up, my already dry, under eyes.

IMG_5657 IMG_5656You can see the cream, silk-like, and thickness in this swatch above. I bought the shade 10 Ivory, which I think is the lightest shade, but love this product for highlighting my face since it is not drying.

IMG_5658Once the product is blending out it is not as light as it may seem. This product is easy to blend, and does last fairly long. My dark under eyes do peek through at the end of the day, but that is just because mine are very dark. Overall, I think the products feels very natural, skin-like, and conceals great! I am very happy with this purchase, this deserves a HIT!

      1. No, I haven’t because I’ve been loving L’Oreal’s Infallible Pro-Matte foundation! Have you tried it? The foundation was getting mixed reviews on YouTube but the concealer was getting positive reviews. I have pretty oily skin so I will have to do some more research before I decide if I’m going to try the foundation.

      2. No not yet I swatched an opened one in stores but wasn’t that impressed so still debating, seems more like a winter weather foundation. Seems more for normal to dry skin type! I’ve been want to try the infallible but I have Been having dry skin lately, and can’t really find a good match for my shade.
