70’s Fall Fashion Outfit with Overalls

IMG_6198edit goodAs a part of my overall obsession and upcoming project, I wanted to share with you this outfit I pieced together. I adore turtle necks, but had to incorporate that look into a hotter climate.  I wanted to use this overall dress to create a girly 70’s inspired outfit.

Here is the overall outfit with no accessories added. It has finally been raining here in Arizona, so I wanted the turtle neck to add a more “fall weather” feeling. Actually, while taking these pictures, loud thunder spread across the city and was sprinkling during these photos!

The top is a Free People turtle neck top in a golden mustard yellow color. The material is thicker than the overalls adding a play on textures. The top is also woven vertically stripes, while the overall dress has horizontal stripes. This is a simple way add to more texture and dimension into any outfit. This top was only $20 from my local TjMaxx in the new contemporary section, I love this comfy top and can be very versatile with the colder months  ahead. This top is great for layering!

The overalls are from Fashion Q for around $16. There are also pockets on the side of the dress, which is always a plus in outfits! When it gets colder, I cannot wait to pair some tights with this overall dress.

IMG_6182For shoes I am wearing these pointed open sided shoes. These are from Qupid and have a oxford style inspiration. I also have these in brown which was styled in my last overall outfit HERE.

Hope you guys enjoyed this outfit post! Are you guys enjoying the 70’s trend for fall? I am embracing it in my clothing for sure!
